Green Growth Institute Internship – Samoa

About the role

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is offering a paid internship in Apia, Samoa, to support the Pacific Climate Finance Access and Absorption Program (2024‑26). The role provides hands‑on experience in climate finance, government liaison, and research within a multicultural, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with Samoan government agencies such as the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and the Ministry of Finance to facilitate project implementation.
• Conduct research and collect data to support project development and reporting.
• Provide administrative assistance, including documentation, scheduling, and logistical support for program activities.
• Assist in preparing briefing notes, presentations, and progress reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Current university student or recent graduate in environmental studies, international development, economics, public policy, or a related field.
• Strong interest in climate finance, sustainable development, and Pacific Island contexts.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
