English Teacher at Church College Pesega

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join Church College Pesega in Samoa. The role focuses on delivering both theoretical and practical English instruction, supporting students in deepening their spiritual conversion and preparing for future educational and missionary endeavors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver English lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Assess student progress, track grades, and use student management programs to record outcomes.
• Apply sound judgment to adapt instructional methods to meet diverse learning needs.
• Maintain classroom discipline using proven management strategies.
• Provide remediation and response‑to‑intervention support where needed.

Required profile

• Teaching certificate (advantageous) and a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written English language skills.
• Ability to motivate students and foster a positive learning environment.
• Organized, hard‑working, and capable of working with students of varying abilities.
• Legal right to work in Samoa, temple worthiness, and a police clearance.

Required skills

• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Experience with student management software.
