Key Accounts Executive

About the role

The Key Accounts Executive will manage BAT’s key retail accounts, distributors and duty‑free outlets in Samoa, building long‑term strategic relationships that drive category growth and sustain market leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account business plans aligned with company and customer objectives to drive sales growth, distribution, and category performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with key accounts, distributors and duty‑free customers to strengthen engagement and achieve commercial targets.
• Conduct regular business reviews, analyse sales performance and market insights, and recommend strategies to capture growth opportunities and mitigate risks.
• Execute trade and Go‑To‑Market initiatives through outlet visits, monitoring trading terms compliance and partnering with the Trade team to improve execution standards.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance and Supply Chain to support order fulfilment, resolve customer issues, manage payment performance and minimise commercial risks.
• Monitor trade investment effectiveness, maintain accurate account plans and performance reporting, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in key account management, sales or trade/commercial roles, preferably within FMCG, consumer goods, wholesale, distribution, beverages, telecommunications or similar fast‑paced environments.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.
• Proven ability to analyse sales data, identify business opportunities and translate insights into actionable commercial recommendations.
• Strong relationship‑building, negotiation and stakeholder‑management capabilities.
• Excellent planning, communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
