Maintenance Technician for Church Facilities

About the role

The Area Operations and Maintenance Division of the Meetinghouse Facilities Department is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a permanent full‑time position based in Pesega, Apia. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing Church facilities across multiple skilled trades.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance on buildings, equipment and facility systems.
• Perform repairs and installations in plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing and electrical work.
• Conduct inspections, manage work orders, materials and maintenance records using computer‑based systems.
• Maintain a safe work environment, follow health‑and‑safety policies and collaborate with contractors and colleagues.
• Travel between sites and operate a company vehicle as required.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of related experience or progress toward a relevant post‑secondary degree or certification.
• Strong working knowledge in three or more of the following: plumbing, carpentry, painting/plastering, machine servicing, electrical repairs or installations.
• Valid driver’s licence, ability to lift up to 23 kg, and comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Proof of legal right to work in Samoa and willingness to undergo a police background check.
