Samoan Teacher – Church College Pesega

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Samoan Teacher to join the Church College in Pesega, Apia. The role focuses on delivering both theoretical and practical instruction to help students deepen their faith and prepare for future service.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons in Samoan language and related subjects.
• Track student grades and assess progress using student management programs.
• Apply sound judgment to adapt teaching methods to diverse learner needs.
• Maintain classroom discipline and implement effective remediation strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Samoan Studies or a related field (preferred).
• Teaching certificate is an advantage.
• Strong proficiency in both Samoan and English (verbal and written).
• Ability to motivate students and manage a classroom effectively.
• Legal right to work in Samoa and a police clearance.
• Adherence to temple worthiness standards.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Samoan subject matter and curriculum.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills, including use of student management software.
