Science Teacher (Chemistry) – Samoa

About the role

The Church College Vaiola seeks a dedicated Science Teacher to deliver both theoretical and practical instruction to students, fostering a deep understanding of scientific concepts and supporting their spiritual development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-aligned science lessons, with a focus on chemistry.
• Assess student progress, track grades, and maintain records using student management programs.
• Apply effective classroom management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
• Provide remediation and response‑to‑intervention support for students who need additional help.

Required profile

• Teaching certificate (advantageous) and a Bachelor’s degree in science or a related field.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to motivate students and manage a classroom effectively.
• Understanding of chemistry concepts and key scientific principles.
• Legal authorization to work in Samoa and a police clearance report.

Required skills

• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Proficiency with student management software for grading and tracking.
