Team Leader

About the role

The Team Leader will act as the overall implementation leader within the Project Management Consultant team, overseeing coordination, oversight and delivery of all project components, institutional strengthening, safeguard implementation and procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise multidisciplinary consultant teams and international contractors under FIDIC‑based contracts.
• Oversee procurement, contract administration and construction supervision for complex infrastructure projects, including dams, roads and energy facilities.
• Ensure implementation of safeguards, financial management and reporting for IFI‑funded projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in civil engineering, water resources, hydropower, infrastructure project management or a related discipline.
• Chartered/Professional Engineer registration (mandatory) and registration with the Institution of Professional Engineers, Samoa.
• At least 20 years of progressive experience in infrastructure project development, with a minimum of 12 years in senior roles overseeing procurement, contracts and construction.
• Proven track record delivering high‑value projects (USD 0‑100 million+) in developing or remote island contexts, especially in the Pacific region.
