About the role
The United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) is seeking an Investment Analyst to support the development and deployment of a blended‑finance portfolio in Samoa, focusing on MSMEs and financial institutions in blue and green sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Support systematic market scoping, research and analysis to inform investment strategies and identify underserved beneficiaries.
- Map financing landscapes, identify capital providers and financial intermediaries, and analyse prevailing financial terms.
- Contribute to the design of blended‑finance solutions, investment strategy documents, operational guidelines and fund governance frameworks.
- Assist in developing country‑specific investment roadmaps, pipelines and strategic partnerships.
- Identify and screen investment opportunities, conduct due diligence and analyse financial statements.
- Build and refine financial models to assess viability and risk‑return profiles.
- Draft investment appraisal memorandums and internal documentation for approval processes.
- Liaise with UNCDF’s Investment and Finance Oversight Division to ensure compliance with internal policies.
