Mobile Financial Services (MFS) Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Mobile Financial Services (MFS) Lead to drive sustainable growth, forge strategic partnerships, and ensure operational and regulatory excellence across our MFS portfolio. The role will lead the MFS team and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to expand the ecosystem and enhance the customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the MFS strategy in line with overall business objectives and own key performance indicators such as revenue, registrations, active customers, distribution network growth, transaction volume, top‑up growth, and cash inflow.
• Identify new business opportunities, monitor market trends and competitor activity, and recommend initiatives to increase revenue and customer adoption.
• Lead, coach, and develop the MFS team, set departmental priorities, and ensure execution of strategic initiatives.
• Coordinate cross‑functional projects with sales, corporate solutions, customer care, marketing, finance, risk & compliance, and technical teams.
• Provide regular strategic updates to senior management and prepare performance reports for board meetings.
• Oversee the distribution network, monitor performance, approve expansion plans, and support agents and merchants to meet targets.
• Drive product growth by launching new MFS offerings, increasing customer acquisition and activity, and building partnerships with financial institutions, merchants, and government agencies.
• Collaborate with marketing to design campaigns that boost engagement and transaction volume.
• Analyze commercial and operational metrics, and present insights to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in financial services, mobile payments, or a related sector.
• Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills with a track record of delivering commercial results.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in the financial services industry.
• Experience managing cross‑functional teams and driving product adoption.
