About the role

The Church College Vaiola seeks a dedicated Food Textiles & Technology Teacher to deliver both theoretical and practical instruction to students. The role supports the school’s mission of deepening students’ conversion to Jesus Christ and preparing them for future educational and career endeavors.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver curriculum-aligned theoretical and practical lessons in Food Textiles & Technology.
• Utilise student management programs to record grades and assess student progress.
• Apply sound judgment in curriculum delivery and adapt teaching methods as needed.

Required profile

• Certificate Level III in Food Textiles & Technology, Kitchen Operations, Cookery or an equivalent tertiary qualification (preferred).
• Teaching certificate is an advantage.
• Strong English language skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to motivate students, organise lessons and employ effective classroom‑management strategies.
• Understanding of Food Textiles & Technology subject matter.
• Experience with remediation and response‑to‑intervention practices.
• Basic to intermediate computer proficiency.
• Maintain temple worthiness standards and provide a police clearance.
• Legal authorization to work in Samoa.
